A three-workshop series was held in November 2015 to provide educational programming on tools and conservation practices.
- The first of the three workshops was centered around an online land use decision-making tool called People in Ecosystems/Watershed Integration (PEWI). This was presented by Dr. Lisa Schulte-Moore of the NREM Department at Iowa State University.
- The second workshop was focused on the saturated buffer conservation practice that our programming provides cost-share for. This workshop was presented by Dr. Tom Isenhart of the NREM department at Iowa State University.
- The third and final of the workshops was presented by Jamie Benning of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Jamie introduced participants to the RetaiN tool kit, which is a simple water quality testing kit that farmers can use to get a snapshot result of the nitrates and phosphorus in their water sources.
