Monarch and Bumblebee on Swamp Milkweed

Presented by Prairie Rivers of Iowa Watershed Coordinator
David Stein and Watershed Educator Dan Haug

Join Prairie Rivers of Iowa’s Watershed Educator, Dan Haug, and Watershed Coordinator, David Stein, for an introduction to citizen science opportunities here in Central Iowa.
Dan will explain the ins and outs of collecting water quality data in our local rivers, creeks, and streams, and how that data helps paint a bigger picture of overall water quality. David will introduce you to methods for collecting wildlife data, including how to perform a survey, take pictures, and get data uploaded to an online library.  He will also show how this data can help watersheds and wildlife professionals make decisions on where to restore habitat.
