agAnnie is a creative and collaborative person who is passionate about environmental issues of the past, present, and future. She has a diverse background stemming from an interest in learning. Annie grew up in Des Moines, but her family is originally from Northeast Iowa.

She earned a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Studies from Iowa State University in 2012. Since then, her varied and unique work experience has led her to this position with Prairie Rivers of Iowa. Past experiences include interning with the ISU Community Visioning Program, substitute teaching, working at an organic farm, and merchandising bulk foods.

She takes a special interest in the native Iowa landscape. She loves to explore prairie areas and learn about different uses of plants. She also enjoys camping and spending time outdoors. Her favorite recreational activity is kayaking, but she also likes to go hiking or bicycling on the various Iowa trails. Her home life includes working on various projects including prairie reconstruction, raising chickens, and gardening.
