Alisa Behrens is the Program Assistant for the Watersheds and Waterways program, as well as the Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway program. She is a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Planning. Her studies focused on environmental planning and resource conservation.

Originally from Davenport, Iowa, Alisa comes from a family of four that resides on a wooded acreage that is also home to a babbling brook, bee hives, and fruit trees. Being an Iowa native, she is familiar with the natural environment of Iowa. She enjoys the outdoors with family and friends through boating, snowmobiling, and sharing harvested goods, such as the fruit and honey that are produced on her family’s land.
